Description

The buildings at 18-22 Fore Street, Mevagissey, date from the late 18th century. They are constructed of roughcast and painted brick, and are two storeys in height, originally containing four sash windows with glazing bars. The shop fronts are of a plain 19th-century design, featuring flat pilasters and moulded cornices. The roof is slate. Number 20 adjoins the rear of number 22 and is three storeys tall, with two sash windows that lack glazing bars. The buildings are included in the listing for their group value, relating to numbers 14 to 24 (even) along with number 1 and the Mevagissey Pottery Shop on Jetty Street.
