Description
This is an early 19th-century house located on Polkirt Hill in Mevagissey. The front is constructed of ashlar stone, contrasting with the original rubble walls to the rear. The house is two storeys high and originally had three windows, with the central window later blocked. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, each framed by rusticated voussoirs. A set of steps leads to a glazed and panelled front door, topped with a semi-circular fanlight contained within a rusticated architrave. A string course and quoins are visible on the exterior. The roof is slate, with gabled ends. Numbers 2 to 6 (even) and 10 to 14 (even) on Polkirt Hill form a group.
