Description
No. 16 on Fore Street is a late 18th-century building constructed from stone rubble, featuring stone quoins and window dressings. It stands three storeys tall and has three sash windows with segmental brick arches, keyblocks, and marginal lights, with glazing bars on the second floor. The building has a 19th-century shop front that includes five-light windows and panelled doors, along with a panelled architrave and a moulded cornice. There are date stones inscribed with "J J D" and "1791." The roof is slate with gable ends. This property is part of a group that includes Nos. 14 to 24 (even), No. 1, and Mevagissey Pottery Shop on Jetty Street.
