Description
No 5 Fore Street is an early 19th-century building located on the west side of Fore Street in Mevagissey. It is constructed of painted brick and stands three storeys tall. The building features two windows facing Fore Street and three windows on Tregony Hill, all of which are sash windows set within moulded cases and topped with segmental arches. There are small early 19th-century shops on both elevations, characterized by flat pilasters and a continuous fascia with a cornice that wraps around the corner. The roof is a cement washed slate hipped roof, and the eaves are moulded wood. This building is included for its group value with the Ship Inn and Nos 3 and 5 Fore Street, along with No 1A Tregony Hill.
