Description
No. 24 Market Street is a late 18th century to early 19th century building that stands two storeys high and features two windows. The exterior is made of painted brick, topped with a slate roof that has tumbled brick at the edges and brick chimneys. The building has tripartite sash windows with glazing bars set beneath flat arches. The ground floor has a modern shop front with a large shop sign above it, while the entrance to the house is located on the left side. At the rear, there is a gabled brick extension facing Church Row, which also displays tumbled brick in the gable. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 26 (even), with Nos 2 and 10 to 16 noted for their local interest.
