Description

The former Post Office, built in the mid-to-late 18th century, is a three-storey building with a basement and five windows. The front is rendered, with quoins marking the first and second floors, string courses, and a modillion eaves cornice. A moulded plinth runs along the base. Gable end chimneys are present, with separate rendered stacks. The windows are glazing bar sash windows, each with a segmental head, raised keys, surrounds, and sills. A later projecting porch with a tall parapet obscures the original central segmental-headed doorcase, which was formerly flanked by pilasters. A large, two-storey, four-window annexe to the rear also features segmental-headed windows.
