Description

The wall to the Bowling Green, located from Hexham House to Priory Gateway, is a mid to late 19th-century structure made of ashlar stone and stands about 12 feet high. It is approximately 35 yards long and returns to the Priory Gateway. The wall features a central entrance with a segmental arch and cast iron gates. There are three openings on each side, with the second from the right being blocked. Hexham House, along with Nos 2 to 8 (even) and the wall, form a group of buildings of historical significance.
