Description

No 1 Market Square is an early 19th-century building located on the east side of Market Square in Mevagissey. The building is rendered and consists of two storeys. It features two large sash windows in exposed cases with glazing bars. The modern shop front has plate glass and a large fascia. The roof is slate and hipped, with overhanging eaves supported by paired shaped brackets. At the rear, there is a three-storey wing that faces East Wharf, which is roughcast and also has sash windows with glazing bars. This building is included for its group value with Nos 1 to 6 Market Square.
