Description
The Ship Inn is an 18th-century building located on the west side of Fore Street in Mevagissey. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features two storeys plus an attic. The façade includes three sash windows with glazing bars, and the ground floor has red brick arches above the windows. There is a round-headed door with a fanlight, and an eaves cornice adorns the top of the building. The roof is steep and hipped, with a wide modern dormer added. At the rear, there is an early 19th-century west wing that rises three storeys, made of red brick and featuring three sash windows with glazing bars. The Ship Inn, along with Nos 3 and 5 Fore Street and No 1A Tregony Hill, forms a group of buildings of architectural significance.
