Description

Central Cafe is an early 19th-century building located at No. 3 in Market Square, Mevagissey. It is constructed of stucco and stands three storeys tall with one window. The building occupies a corner position, with its rear elevation facing St George's Square. Most of the windows are sashes without glazing bars, although there is a large modern plate glass window on the first floor. Additionally, there is a large modern corner shop featuring plate glass, which is considered incongruous. The building has a slate hipped roof and is noted for its prominent position, contributing to the group value of Nos 1 to 6, which form a cohesive architectural group.
