Description
No. 51 on Pyle Street is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall and is constructed of painted brick. It features a low-pitched gable end slate roof with a wooden eaves cornice and a block string course. The building has three recessed sash windows on the first floor, which retain their glazing bars, and block sills on the second floor. The windows are topped with flat painted arches.
The shop front, dating from the mid-19th century, includes panelled Doric pilasters, although a modern fascia board partially obscures the original frieze and cornice. There are period side doors with nine and three fielded panels, one of which has a rectangular fanlight, and these doors are flanked by Doric pilasters.
