Description

Nos 22 and 23 St James's Street, formerly the Bell Inn, is a mid-18th century building that stands two storeys tall with a cement-rendered front. It features a gable end roof covered with old tiles. The building has a decorative modillion eaves cornice and five large gabled dormers. There are six windows in total; two are 19th-century bay windows with three lights, plain strips frieze, and cornice, while the other four are sash windows with block sills and keystones. The ground floor has a modern shop front. Nos 21 to 24 St James's Street form a group with this building.
