Description
No 54 on Pyle Street is a late 18th-century building made of gault brick and stucco. It has two storeys and features a mansard slate roof with two dormers facing Pyle Street. The building has a parapet and a cornice, along with a frieze decorated with triglyphs. On the Pyle Street side, there are two recessed sash windows with block sills and flat brick arches. A prominent feature is the large shallow bow window on the first floor of No 25 St James's Street, which has two lights and glazing bars, with a frieze above that extends with wood triglyphs and a shallow projecting cornice. The building also has modern shop fronts. On the St James's Street side, there are five dormers, with a frieze, cornice, and parapet continuing around the building. It features five tall, recessed sash windows with glazing bars and flat brick arches, along with modern shop fronts.
