Description
The coach house, located immediately west of Castle Villa, dates from the 1870s. It is constructed from roughly-coursed killas with granite dressings and features wooden lintels over the openings. The roof is made of dry Delabole slate with gable ends at both the front and rear. There is a brick lateral chimney on the left-hand wall. The building has a rectangular plan and is built into the bank on the left and at the rear. It is two storeys high with a basement. The gable-ended front facing the road has a wide carriage doorway, a loading doorway above it, and a pointed-arched window that rises into the gable. The doors and windows appear to be old, possibly original, including ledged doors and horned sash windows, except for a pointed two-light casement in the front gable. The other elevations have not been altered since it was built. The interior has not been inspected.
