Description
The coach house with stables, located to the north of The Vicarage, dates from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of local rubble with granite dressings and features segmental brick arches. The roof is hipped and made of dry Delabole slate, with a brick stack positioned on the right side. The building has a rectangular plan with a rear wing at right angles on the right. It is two storeys high and has a three-window range. The right side has an original 16-pane hornless sash window, while the other windows are blind. The ground floor includes a central doorway and a stable doorway on the left, both topped with small-paned overlights, as well as a wide carriage doorway on the right, all featuring ledged doors. Inside, there is a wooden screen for the stalls on the left, cast-iron hayracks, and a blocked fireplace on the right, although part of the first-floor structure is missing and the first floor was not inspected. The building is included for its group value.
