Description
The coach house with stable, built between 1898 and 1900, was designed by C.P.A. Voysey. It is constructed of stone rubble, partly roughcast, and features a swept slate roof with wide eaves. The south elevation consists of three irregular bays, with paired doors, a single door, and additional paired doors flanked by single doors, all adorned with strap hinges that have heart motifs. The eaves above the four end doors are cut back, supported by a raking buttress on the right. The east gable end facing the road is roughcast with a stone base and has moulded bargeboards. It includes a loading door with flanking lights, a cornice, strap hinges, and ventilation holes. The west gable end is made of stone with a plastered apex and features a four-light stone flat-mullioned window with leaded glazing beneath a cornice, along with a three-light window above that has a louvred central light and angle buttresses. The north elevation showcases projecting sliding doors, a lateral stack, and a two-light stone mullioned window with leaded glazing, accompanied by a raking buttress to the right.
