Description

ST BURYAN TRESIDDER SW 42 NW 7/156 Piggery and swill kitchen at - approximately 30 metres west of Tresidder Farmhouse GV II Piggery with integral swill kitchen. Circa early-mid C19. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Scantle slate roof partly roofless with gable ends. Brick chimney over. Plan: Long rectangular plan with swill kitchen on the left and range of 6 pigstys on the right with feeding passage behind the stys. Exterior: Long low north-west front follows slope of land (down to the right) and has 6 doorways. Entrance to swill kitchen is a doorway at the left-hand gable end. C19 ledged doors with offset hinges so that the doors can fold right back against the wall when opened. Interior: Lime-washed walls; original partitions; C19 roof structure.
