Description
This is a piggery with an integral swill kitchen, built in the late 19th century. It is constructed from granite rubble with granite dressings and features a grouted scantle slate roof with a brick chimney on the right-hand gable end. The building has a rectangular plan that includes six pigs' pens on the left and the swill kitchen on the right, with a feeding passage behind the pigs' pens that is accessed from the swill kitchen. The exterior is a single storey with a long range that has seven regularly spaced doorways, which have later boarded doors, and there is a window at the rear of the swill kitchen. The interior is virtually complete, retaining its original partitions and roof structure.
