Description

PAUL KERRIS SW 42 NW 5/13 Piggery, swill kitchen and wash - house immediately north of Kerris Manor GV II Piggery, swill kitchen and wash house. Circa mid-late C19. Granite rubble walls with granite dressings. Scantle slate roof with gable ends. Axial brick chimney over cross wall towards the right and larger brick chimney over rear wall at far right. There are 3 later skylights in the roof. Plan: Long rectangular range with 4 pigsties on the left, swill kitchen right of middle and wash house on the right. Exterior: Single storey. Long low front with 2 pairs of blocked piggery doorways on the left; a doorway and small window to the swill kitchen, right of middle, and a narrow doorway with an adjoining window at far right. Old ledged doors. Circa early C20 windows. Interior : not inspected.
