Description
The building is a wash house, possibly originally a swill kitchen, and an adjoining piggery, dating from around the mid-19th century. It is constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings and features scantle slate roofs with gable ends. The wash house has a square plan, while the piggery is L-shaped, projecting at right angles at the rear and returning parallel to the front of the wash house.
On the exterior, the north-north-west front of the wash house includes a window on the left and a doorway on the right, with another doorway almost adjacent, likely providing access to a feeding passage for the piggery. The piggery features three doorways on the right-hand return wall, and set back on the right is a three-doorway front that includes a wide blocked cartshed doorway at its far left. The interior has not been inspected.
