Description
Chybyghan is a house dating from the early 19th century. It features a dressed granite front, while the rest is constructed from granite rubble with granite dressings. The roof is covered with slurried scantle slate and has brick chimneys at the gable ends. The building has a shallow double-depth plan, with a wider kitchen and living room on the left, a parlour on the right, and a cross passage that leads to a stair hall situated between two shallow rear service rooms.
The exterior is two storeys high and has a nearly symmetrical three-window east front, with a doorway positioned centrally among the windows. There is a 20th-century glazed porch and a 19th-century four-panel door, where the top panels have been later glazed. The ground floor features late 19th-century four-pane horned sash windows, while the first floor has 20th-century 12-pane casements. The interior has not been inspected.
