Description

The wellhouse and adjoining pound, located in Zennor Tremedda, date from the 18th century or early 19th century. They are constructed from granite moorstone, with dressed granite used for the entrance of the wellhouse. The structure features an irregularly shaped walled pound, with a possibly later rectangular wellhouse situated at the lower side. The small wellhouse has a large doorway leading into a chamber that is roofed with granite lintels. This site is part of an unspoiled coastal hamlet, set within the ancient field system of this area of Cornwall.
