Description
No. 2 Quay Street is a town house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the early 19th century and features asbestos cladding that has replaced the original slate hanging on the studwork, with slate hanging still present at the rear and a slate roof. The building has a shallow double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall with a three-window range on the second floor, which contains 20th-century windows. The ground and first floors feature mid-19th century projecting bay windows on both the left and right sides, except for the right side of the ground floor where a shop front has been installed. The first floor has hornless sash windows with glazing bars, while the ground floor left window has been altered. There is an original six-panel door located to the left of centre. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
