Description

PERRANZABULOE CHYVERTON SW 85 SW 6/63 Lodge at approximately 700 metres ESE of Chyverton House, including associated and adjoining walls and gate-piers - GV II

Entrance lodge to the Chyverton estate, including adjoining wall and gate-piers. Circa mid-late C19. Coursed dressed killas with granite dressing. Delabole slate L- plan roof with gable ends. Axial brick stack over cross wall and lateral brick stack over rear wall towards right. Moulded wooden brackets under the eaves and exposed purlins under projecting eaves. Plan: L-shaped plan. Probably 3 rooms with diagonally set entrance porch in the angle. Exterior: Single storey. Unaltered elevations. South-east front has gable end with central window, on the left; side wall of wing, set back on the right, with 1 small window and gable-ended porch in the angle. Original ledge door and casement windows. Principal gateway, right has square-on-plan panelled piers with pyramidal caps. Interior: Not inspected.
