Description
Nos. 18 and 20 Godolphin Road is a small house and cottage in a terrace, dating from the late 18th century. The building is constructed of local rubble with timber lintels that are mortared over. No. 20, located to the right, is rendered. It features a steep asbestos slate roof with brick stacks over the party walls. The structure has a shallow-depth plan and stands two storeys tall, with an overall three-window range. No. 18 has a nearly symmetrical two-window front, featuring late 19th century four-pane horned sash windows and a doorway that is central to the fenestration. The door is a 19th century four-panel design, with the top panels later glazed. No. 20 has an irregular front with 20th century two-pane casements and a similar door to that of No. 18 located on its right. The interiors have not been inspected.
