Description

This is a piggery located approximately 15 meters northeast of Bosigran Farmhouse, dating from the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings and features a scantle slate roof with gable ends. It has a long rectangular plan, likely containing five pig pens and a feed store at the western end. A former swill kitchen was demolished around 1984 or 1985. The piggery is a single-storey structure, with the north front displaying five doorways grouped closely together, plus another doorway on the far right. The piggery is part of an unspoiled coastal hamlet situated within the ancient field system of this area of Cornwall.
