Description

ZENNOR SW 43 NW 3/225 Aqueduct and stiles at SW 419371 - GV II Aqueduct and stiles. Circa early C19. Dressed granite moorstone and granite rubble. Long rectangular track with high side walls, a central leat and a gateway and stile at each end. At the lower (east) end the water was originally discharged into the leat supplying power for the smelting works, qv. Near the lower stile is another gateway into a field with a stile beside it; this is also included in the listing. The stiles are stepped stiles, the gate piers are granite monoliths.
