Description

ZENNOR SW 43 NW 3/246 Stables immediately north north - west of Lower Porthmeor Farmhouse GV II

Barn, probably granary or apple loft over stable. Circa mid C19. Granite rubble walls with granite dressings. Scantle slate roof with gable ends. Corrugated iron over later part. Plan: rectangular plan with later C19 single storey extension at right. Flight of external granite steps to first floor doorway at left-hand. Exterior: 2 storeys. Irregular 1 window north-west front. Doorway towards right, ventilator window left and small window opening to middle of first floor front and rear. The left-hand end has a ground floor doorway to the right, a small window above, to the left of which is a first floor doorway with a flight of granite steps. Interior: not inspected. Part of an unspoiled coastal hamlet set in the ancient field system of this part of Cornwall.
