Piggery At Approximately 30 Metres South Of Penwarne Barton Farmhouse

The building is a piggery located approximately 30 metres south of Penwarne Barton Farmhouse, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings and features a grouted scantle slate roof with a hipped end on the northeast, while the other end has been replaced with corrugated iron. The plan consists of a long rectangular range that includes four pigsties on the left, which have been remodelled from former mangel houses or implement sheds. On the right, there is another room that has been remodelled as a stable, along with a mangel house that has a wide doorway at the front on the far right. The exterior is single storey with four regularly spaced doorways on the left side and another doorway to the right, along with a wide doorway at the far right. The stable features an old ledged door with a barred top ventilator at the front. The interior has not been inspected.
