3/17 Gate-piers, gates, flanking walls and railings 10.7.57 GV II*

Gate-piers, gates, flanking walls and railings resited. Circa early C18 resited in the C20. Dressed killas rubble with granite dressings. Wrought iron gates and railings resited. Wide gateway flanked by square-on-plan piers adjoining plinth walls for railings. Originally nearer the house but rebuilt using the original masonry of the gate-piers, the original wall copings, gates and railings. Gate-piers have plinth and have an entablature with moulded architraves and cornices surmounted by pryamidal caps with obelisk finials on moulded plinths. Wall copings have cavetto-moulded sides. Gates have fleurs-de-lis and scrolled detail; railings have fleurs-de-lis finials.
