Farmhouse. Circa mid-late C19. Some granite ashlar otherwise killas rubble (quarried on the farm) with granite dressings. Grouted scantle slate roof with projecting eaves and verges. Brick chimneys over the gable ends at left and right. Plan: Overall L-shaped unaltered plan. Double-depth range at the front with 2 front rooms flanking a central entrance hall leading to a stair hall between back kitchen on the left and a pantry on the right. One-room-plan dairy wing at right angles behind the pantry is linked to the house by a quadrant-on-plan 2-storey passage in the angle. Exterior: 2 storeys. l:l:l-bay south east front. Granite ashlar plinth. Gable- ended projecting central bay has central doorway with triangular-headed window opening over C20 door. Left-hand bay has original 4-light canted bay with hipped slate roof, to ground floor. Similar but larger bay window on the right is a C20 enlargement of a flat window opening. Other windows have original small-paned casements with traceried heads except for window over doorway which has a triangular head. Interior: Virtually unaltered with most of its original carpentry and joinery details.
