Description

These are two early 19th-century buildings of granite ashlar construction, with steep slate roofs and gable ends. They are three storeys high and originally had seven windows, though the central window is now blocked. The windows are sash windows; No. 15 retains glazing bars, while No. 14 has 2nd-floor casements. The ground floor of No. 15 features reeded architraves. No. 14 has a modern double-fronted shop with bow windows at ground floor level. A modillion eaves cornice runs along the top of the buildings. Numbers 14 to 20 Alverton Road are designated as a group.
