Description

ST BURYAN TRESIDDER SW 42 NW 7/157 Barn at approximately 50 metres - north west of Tresidder Farmhouse GV II Barn, probably granary over cartshed and stables. Circa early-mid C19 incorporating some dressed masonry from C17 building. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Grouted scantle slate half-hipped roof with scantle slate roofed lean-to behind the left-hand side and corrugated asbestos over lean-to behind the right-hand side. Plan: Overall U-shaped plan with central first floor loading/winnowing doorways approached by ramp to rear doorway and flanked by 2 single-storey lean-tos. Exterior: 2 storeys. Fairly regular 2 window south-west front with wide central waggon doorway (partly blocked) with loading doorway over. Doorways also at left and right of waggon doorway; partly blocked doorway at far left and window on the right. 2 small windows are over the right-hand openings and there is a smaller first-floor window towards the left. Original openings also to other elevations Interior not inspected.
