Description
ZENNOR SW 43 NE 4/279 Barn immediately south west of 9.2.88 Tregerthen Farmhouse GV II Barn, probably granary over stables. Circa mid-late C19. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Grouted scantle slate roof with gable ends. Plan: rectangular plan with 2 loose boxes on the ground floor and large loft over with approximately central opposing loading/winnowing doorways and flight of external steps leading to the rear doorway. Integral former single storey building adjoining at left (south) now ruinous. Exterior: 2 storeys. Nearly symmetrical 2 window east front with openings grouped slightly towards the right. 2 doorways to ground floor towards left and right and ground and first floor windows left and right. First floor loading doorway central to fenestration. C20 ledged doors and slatted ventilators with glazed top lights to windows. Interior: not inspected. Part of an unspoiled coastal hamlet set in the ancient field system of this part of Cornwall.
