Description
This barn, located approximately 20 metres north-west of Trelissick Farmhouse, dates from 1837 and is likely a former fodder store or granary above waggon sheds and stables. It is constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings and features brick arches. The barn has a half-hipped roof, which is partly covered with grouted scantle slate and partly replaced with corrugated iron. The building has a large rectangular plan with a later lean-to added on the right side.
The exterior is two storeys high and features a symmetrical east front with two windows, a central doorway, and a loading doorway above. There are wide waggon openings on the left and right sides, with shuttered window openings above and doorways at both ends. The openings are segmentally arched, and the doors are ledged. The interior has not been inspected.
