ST ERTH SW 5435-5535 13/210 Barn immediately west of Trelissick Cottage

GV II Barn, converted from possibly former service range of house. C17, remodelled in the C19. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Corrugated asbestos roof with gable ends. Rectangular plan with probably shippons to ground floor and fodder storage above. Steps up to doorway at west end. 2 bay piggery adjoining set back at far left. Left with loading hatch over and doorway towards right with window over. Left of middle is C17 chamfered 2-light granite mullioned window with stoolings for central mullion. Later window openings on either side of right-hand doorway. Piggery set-back at far left has 2 doorways. Interior: Not inspected. Present plan of C19 farm buildings are possibly on the sites of earlier buildings at Trelissick ; this seems to be the only C17 farm building to survive.
