Description
The building is a barn and former piggery, now used as a workshop, located approximately 50 metres south of Trevider Farmhouse. It dates from the 18th century and early 19th century, having been built in two phases. The barn includes reused 17th-century chamfered masonry, suggesting it may have been constructed shortly after the refronting of Trevider Farmhouse. It is made of granite moorstone rubble with granite dressings and has a corrugated iron roof with gable ends.
The barn has a rectangular plan. On the left side is the original barn, which features opposing winnowing doorways with reused 17th-century masonry at all openings. To the right is a piggery extension that was later modified to serve as a cartshed, including a wide doorway in the right-hand gable end. The exterior is single storey, with the original barn front on the left displaying an approximately central doorway, a small window on the left, and a slit ventilator on the right. The front of the piggery has two small blocked doorways. The interior has not been inspected.
