Description
This barn dates from the early 19th century and is located approximately 15 metres north of Tresvennack Farmhouse. It is constructed of granite rubble with granite dressings, and has a half-hipped roof originally covered with scantle slates, although the rear main section has been replaced with corrugated asbestos and the rear lean-to retains a scantle slate roof. A cast-iron ogee-section gutter runs along the front. The barn follows an L-shaped plan, featuring a rectangular, two-story section at the front and a lean-to at the rear left, with a small earth closet situated at the rear right-hand corner of the lean-to. The east front includes a central doorway, with a loading doorway above (now partly blocked and fitted with a window). Original window openings are visible on either side of the doorway, and above the left-hand window. The barn has a circa early 20th-century ledged door, and windows also dating to the early 20th century. Granite steps provide access to a rear doorway. The interior of the barn has not been inspected.
