Description
This is a barn located about 30 metres northwest of Trenouth Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from granite rubble with granite quoins and features some slate-hung sections. The roof is hipped and covered with slurried scantle slate, topped with ridge tiles.
The barn has two storeys and presents a nearly symmetrical front with five bays on the ground floor. The central bay contains a small round-arched window with a dressed stone head, and there are doors on either side, also with dressed stone heads. Above each ground floor door, there is a larger loading door with a timber lintel, although the one on the right is blocked. The left side of the barn is slate-hung at the upper level, above a string course, and has a blocked loading door on the left. The right side is built into the bank and features a loading door on the left with a granite cill and timber lintel, along with a ventilation slit above. The rear of the barn is also built into the bank and has two ventilation slits on the left. The interior has not been inspected.
