Description

SOUTH PETHERWIN SX38SW Barn about 25 metres 2/18 south west of Tredown Farmhouse GV II* Bank barn. Probably late C18 or early C19 with later C19 extension slate rubble with granite quoins. Grouted rag slate hipped roof. Rectangular plan. 2 storeys. Ground floor doorway to right of centre and central first floor loading doorway with plank doors, both with ventilation slits either side. Small window on ground floor to left of centre. Small single storey outbuilding adjoining left with gable-ended slate roof and plank door at front. Ground level at higher level at rear where there is a doorway into the barn. Interior: Large roughly hewn cross-beams. First floor and roof structure not inspected.
