Barn At Approximately 80 Metres South Of Trevider Farmhouse

The barn, located approximately 80 metres south of Trevider Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with an extension added around the mid-19th century. It is constructed from granite rubble with granite dressings, and the older section includes some reused 17th-century chamfered masonry. The roof is a grouted scantle slate hipped design.

The barn has a rectangular plan, with the left side lengthened during the mid-19th century. It is built into the bank on the right side, where there is a short flight of stone steps leading up to a loading doorway at the right-hand end. The exterior features two storeys and an irregular north front. The original front on the right includes a central doorway flanked by slit ventilators, a partly blocked first-floor loading or winnowing doorway to the right of the middle, and a blocked window on the left. The mid-19th century extension on the left has a slit ventilator on the left, a window above it, and a first-floor loading doorway on the right.

Inside, the barn has been remodelled for use as a milking parlour, but it retains 19th-century first-floor and roof structures.
