Description

Cloamers is a house that likely dates from the early 18th century and was extended in the mid-19th century, with some 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed from slatestone and granite rubble, featuring granite quoins on the left side. It has a slate roof with a gable end on the right, which includes a truncated rubble chimney stack, and a hipped roof on the left with an axial stack that has a brick chimney, formerly located at the gable end.

The house has a small two-room plan, with the entrance leading directly into the room on the right; both rooms are heated by a gable end stack. In the mid-19th century, an extension was added to the left, creating a one-room plan addition with a separate entrance.

The exterior is two storeys high and presents an asymmetrical three-window front, with a straight joint separating the two windows on the right from the single window on the left. The first floor features two 19th-century 16-pane sash windows on the left and an 8-pane sash window on the right. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century door and porch, an 8-pane sash window to the right, and a 16-pane sash window to the left, all with granite lintels. The left end bay includes a gabled 20th-century porch and a 16-pane sash window with a granite lintel. The right side of the building has an external stepped stack, with an oven at the base and a clay door leading to the outside. There is also a large buttress to the left of the stack. The rest of the building and the interior are not accessible.
