Description
22 St Stephen's Hill is a village house, likely built in the 18th century and remodeled in the mid-19th century. It features stucco over rubble with eared architraves and a steep rag slate roof adorned with mid to late 19th-century crested clay ridge tiles. The house has brick end stacks and cast-iron ogee gutters. It has a double-depth plan and is two stories tall, with a symmetrical two-window front that has closely spaced openings. The ground-floor windows are wider, including one early to mid-19th-century sixteen-pane hornless sash on the right, while the others are later horned copies. The central entrance has a late 19th-century six-panel door with later glazed top panels and a plain overlight. The interior has not been inspected.
