Description
No. 8 St Stephen's Hill is a village house dating from the 17th or 18th century, with its front remodeled in the early 19th and early 20th centuries. The building is constructed of painted rubble and features shallow segmental arches. It has a steep rag slate roof with a brick stack on the left and a lateral rubble stack on the right. The house has an L-shaped plan and is two storeys high, with a three-window range. The windows include early 19th-century sixteen-pane hornless sashes, except for an early 20th-century canted bay on the left with 20th-century lights and a 20th-century window on the right. A 20th-century door is located to the right of centre. The interior has not been inspected.
