Description

LEWANNICK SX 27 NE Barn and horse engine house on 4/7 north side of yard at Knighton Farm II GV Barn and horse engine house. Circa early to mid C19. Stone rubble with granite dressings. Slate roof with gable ends and canted end to horse engine house on rear. Plan: Rectangular plan barn extended on right hand end in circa mid C19. The engine house is to rear left of the barn and has a canted end. Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical front elevation facing yard. Wide doors near centre flanked by two small windows with further window to left. Wide threshing doors on first floor. Extended to right with 2-storey range with dressed granite quoins. Plank door on ground floor. Ground rises gently to rear with horse engine house to rear left. Interior: Machinery to engine house removed.
