The hall is unheated by a rear lateral stack, the large inner room by an end stack and the lower room also by an end stack. There are two one-room plan heated wings, which are used as dairies, to rear of the lower end and inner room. There is a C19 outshut across the rear, between these two wings. Exterior: Two storeys. The larger inner room has a fireplace which is blocked and is heated by a Rayburn stove. The hall has a C20 grate and plastered ceilings. A full interior inspection may reveal several interesting features. The remains of Upton Castle to the south are scheduled as an Ancient Monument.
