BLISLAND TREGENNA SX 07 SE 8/85 Barn, cartshed and horse engine - house, Tregenna Farm II

Barn, cartshed and horse engine house. Circa early to mid C19. Granite ashlar and dressed local stone. Rag slate roof with hipped ends and single storey cartshed to left. Plan: Rectangular plan to barn on right with shippons on ground floor and threshing floor above. Open sided horse engine house to rear of barn and cartshed attached on left hand side. Exterior: 2 storey barn with symmetrical front. Central entrance with plank doors to right and left on ground floor. Central double doors on first floor with slate hood and window openings to right and left. 2 rows of pigeon holes below eaves. External stone rubble steps up to loft on right hand end. Single storey open fronted cartshed to left with granite piers and possibly integral stove to right. Open sided horse engine house to rear with canted end. The openings with granite posts, have been partly infilled with stone rubble. Interior: not inspected. Particularly fine group of farm buildings.
