Boundary marker. C18 or early C19. Brick, stone capping and inset panels. A brick pier in English bond, c 600mm square and 1.75m high, set on asplayed brick plinth part concealed by later pavement level; a moulded edge to stone capping and a much worn weathered top. Inset on the east face a stone panel with sunk centre, inscribed PARISH OF HOLDENHURST, and on west face a similar panel inscribed COUNTY OF DORSET. The brickwork and capping look earlier than the panels which may be C19 ones replacing worn originals. The marker survives near Talbot Manor despite considerable road works and realignment in the vicinity.
