Description

38 Wallisdown Road is a picturesque cottage dating from around 1850. It has a ground floor and a semi-attic, with brickwork that is now painted. The gable end faces the road, and there is a lean-to extension to the east featuring a gabled dormer. The cottage has mullioned casements with diamond lattice glazing; there are three lights with a transom on the ground floor and two lights on the first floor. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with slate, featuring overhanging eaves and plain bargeboards. The entrance includes a 4-centred arched door. This building is part of a group of listed buildings along Wallisdown Road and Columbia Road.
