Description
No. 28 Wallisdown Road is a picturesque cottage built around 1850. It features a ground floor and semi-attic design, constructed from red brick with some grey headers. The building has an asymmetrical T plan and includes mullioned casements with diamond lattice glazing. The steeply pitched slate roofs have overhanging eaves and plain bargeboards, extending low on the east side over a lean-to timber verandah porch. The entrance has a 4-centred arched door. Additionally, there are tall diagonally set pairs of chimneystacks on the ridge, along with a rectangular stack rising through the west gable. This cottage is part of a group of listed buildings along Wallisdown Road and Columbia Road.
